Versa is a similar hyaluronic acid filler to Restylane. It has a larger gel particle size and thicker concentration, which makes it better suited for deeper wrinkles and depressions in the face. It also has a better effect on the thicker skin.
Where is Versa used?
- Deep folds and smile lines (from the side of the nose to the side of the lip)
- Marionette lines (the lower corners of the mouth)
- Softening the appearance of jowls
- Chin augmentation
What is Versa?
Versa, like Restylane, is made of hyaluronic acid, a natural complex sugar compound found naturally in the skin. This compound works to bind and retain water, which keeps the skin plump and volumized. Unfortunately, as we age, we lose our natural hyaluronic acid in the skin. Versa and Restylane injections temporarily replace the lost hyaluronic acid, which then fill in the wrinkles or depressions. They are biodegradable and slowly dissolve away over 6-12 months, depending on the area.
