The next generation of skin tightening and resurfacing is now here! This advanced fractional radiofrequency microneedling treatment adresses many of the concerns of aging:
- Loose or sagging skin
- Jowls and loose neck skin
- Skin tone and textural changes
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Skin crepiness, especially on the neck or decollete
- Skin irregularities and acne scarring
How is this different from all the other radiofrequency treatments?
Infini uses a panel of extremely small gold-plated microneedles to deliver the radiofrequency energy down deep into the lower skin where it tightens the existing collagen and stimulates further collagen production. Older technologies must deliver diffuse heat energy through the top layer of the skin and are limited in the specific amount of energy that can be delivered to the desired area, the dermis. Because the Infini is more precise in the location and delivery of energy, the results are more predictable and consistent.
What does the treatment feel like?
This procedure uses many quick, repeated pulses of energy. It feels like a strong stamping of the skin.
Does Infini hurt?
The procedure...For this, we apply a potent topical numbing cream one hour before your procedure. Many patients also prefer to use laughing gas for a more pleasant experience. We can discuss this with you at the pretreatment evaluation and consultation.
How is the downtime and healing afterwards?
You will be pink and slightly swollen right after your treatment, which can last for 24-36 hours. For some patients, this may take several more days to completely resolve, but is easily covered with makeup. There may be some small areas of bruising as well, especially involving the thin skin around the eyes. The skin often feels slightly rough like sandpaper for 1 week thereafter while the surface of the skin is healing. Most patients resume normal activity with makeup the very next day, but we wouldn't recommend having this procedure immediately before an important event.
How many treatments will I need?
It all depends on the extent of pre-existing skin damage and sagging as well as the amount of improvement that is desired. Most patients require 3 to 4 treatments for results. These treatments are performed monthly.
When will I see results?
Because the Infini treatment stimulates your body to tighten collagen and form new collagen growth, the results are not immediate and do take time. Some patients will begin to see changes as early as one month later, while the final results are evident six months after the last treatment. Often these changes are slow and subtle and may not be fully appreciated until the before and after photos are compared. With this slow process, others may remark that you "are looking younger and more refreshed," but they aren't able to pinpoint specific changes. Personally, we prefer these subtle, natural changes over the overdone, dramatic results with some procedures.

How long will my results last?
Because this procedure is stimulating collagen formation by your own body processes, the results are long-lasting, likely for years. However, we recommend a yearly touch-up treatment to maintain further collagen growth and tightening. Unfortunately, we can't stop the aging process just yet, but we are still fighting it off every day.
How long do treatments take?
After the topical numbing preparation of one hour, the procedure itself lasts anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the area of treatment. You can drive yourself to and from the treatment provided that you haven't consumed any medicines that would impair your driving, such as codeine.
Which areas can I treat?
While this treatment is safe for any part of the body, the most common locations are the face, neck, decollete, or a combination of these. Infini can also be used to treat sweating under the arms, typically with a 50% reduction in sweating after one treatment and a 90% reduction after two.

Can I undergo this treatment if I have darker skin?
While many lasers are considered unsafe for darker skin, this procedure bypasses the upper surface of the skin and is safe for any color of skin. There is no increased risk of pigment issues after this treatment. Unfortunately, Infini does not help to treat any skin discoloration concerns such as melasma or sun spots. We have other procedures available for these conditions.
