Chin Enhancement

Chin Enhancement

Not everyone was born with a well-defined chin and jawline. Luckily, there's an easy fix for that nowadays. Filler injections can quickly and easily enhance the profile of the chin. Depending on your needs, Dr. Brown can make thechin project out more or project down lower. Dr. Brown has the skill, experience, and artistic eye to perfectly enhance and sculpt the face and to restore natural balance and proportion.

What products does she use for this injection?
For the chin area, Dr. Brown prefers a thicker filler placed directly on top of the bone, typically Radiesse orVoluma. Radiesse is composed of calcium hydroxyapatite (similar to bone meal) while Voluma is a thick hyaluronic acid filler. She has used both of these products for many years and has had consistent success with both of them. We can discuss these options with you at your consultation.

How painful are the injections?
This area is actually not that painful at all. As with all our filler injections, patients are numbed beforehand with a strong topical numbing cream for about 40 minutes. Most patients are surprised at how easy the process is.

How long do the results last?
While everyone's metabolism and results may vary, the product typically lasts about 1 year in this area. When the results start to wear off, we can always repeat the process for a long-lasting effect.

Are there any side effects?
As with any injection, you may see mild swelling, bruising or tenderness at the injection site. Dr. Brown recommends avoiding alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, and some supplement pills for 7 days prior to minimize the risk of bruising. To be safe, do not plan any social activities for several days after your treatment. Most patients prefer to have injections performed on a Friday, so that they are ready for work and activities on Monday morning. Luckily, the chin area is less prone to have significant bruising.
